Computers lead way at Koko FitClub
March 2011
Each Wednesday, the Scottsdale Republic profiles the owner of a Northeast Valley business.
Name: Dave West
Name of business: Koko FitClub of Scottsdale
Title: Co-Owner
Age: 40
What I do: I run the day-to-day operations of the club. I network, market, promote, troubleshoot, train and make each member feel like this is their club; it's a place where they can spend 30 minutes in a clean, comfortable atmosphere while exercising.
About my business: Koko FitClub is changing they way people exercise. We have fused technology into fitness, creating a 30-minute workout that uses a computer to guide, motivate and engage the user. We create a personalized, automated program that is specific to each person and does not need to be scheduled. It is your program, on your time.
What I've learned in business: When you love what you do, it truly does not matter how many hours your workday is.
Goals: Create a business that helps change people's lives through healthy living and habits. Ideally, I would like to open a couple of clubs in the general area.
What community I live in: Northeast Phoenix
